4 Generations of Community

Debbie and Craig Danto are very active in the community and with various industry associations. They are especially proud of their Big Bad BBQ Bash that has benefited Special Olympics Broward County for the last six years. They both have family members with Down Syndrome, so understand the importance of this cause. In 2019 they held it at Riverwalk’s Esplanade Park for the first time and had an estimated 1,200 people.

Both Debbie and Craig care deeply about the community, serving on boards and being engaged, as well as helping young people learn about the trades and helping to get them enrolled into certification programs.

Danto Builders is a woman-owned business and CBE-, DBE-, WBE-, WBENC- and WOSB-certified. . Debbie is a Board member of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, and on the Healthcare, Construction & Real Estate, and Oakland Park / Wilton Manors / Uptown (2020 Chair) Councils. She is a board member for the Florida Design & Construction Professionals and Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, and member of AIA Fort Lauderdale and Riverwalk.

Danto Builders has received awards for their work from AIA Fort Lauderdale, South Florida Business Journal, Gold Coast Builders Association and Architectural Digest.

Most recently Danto Builders won 2019 Business of the Year from The Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, and Debbie Danto was recognized as a 2020 Women in Construction by Rebuilding Together Broward. The Dantos are proud to be an integral part of the South Florida community.

“Fleet Week” at Port Everglades

“Fleet Week” at Port Everglades welcomes the Navy, Coast Guard, and Marines to South Florida for a week of appreciation and events. At the kick-off event, there were over 120 people in attendance and approximately 40 representing our military. Their feedback is wonderful to hear, as they say they feel so welcome and at home in Fort Lauderdale.

Our community is a big supporter of Fleet Week, and it is genuinely felt among the service men and women in attendance. We are so grateful to the men and women who serve to protect our country. We were proud to sponsor this kick-off event, which provided an impactful and meaningful evening for everyone.
